NPW EVENT RECAPS

On April 26th, 30 participants joined NPW for our People & Process Affinity Group to learn more about "Building Wealth & Heath of Your Nonprofit Employees".

Thank you to Christian Templeman, VP & Financial Advisor, Morgan Stanley and Charles Newman, Managing Director, Charles Newman Co. for an informative presentation on building the wealth and health of nonprofit employees through retirement plans, health insurance, and other benefits.

And thank you to Tiffany S.W. Hamilton, CEO, YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester, for moderating, offering her perspective as a nonprofit executive, and emphasizing the importance of investing in the wealth & health of nonprofit employees.

Last Friday's Westchester County Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits Report Information Session was a huge success. NPW knows this was the first step in disseminating new and important data for nonprofits to benchmark salaries and benefits. Additionally, NPW looks forward to working with all stakeholders to address issues that keep nonprofit compensation at levels that too often prevent our workforce from enjoying a basic quality of life.

Thank you to our report authors and panelists for providing in depth insight into the survey findings:

  • Rebecca Tekula, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Public Administration, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences and Executive Director, Helene T. & Grant M. Wilson Center for Social Entrepreneurship
  • Gina Scutelnicu Todoran, Ph.D., Chair and Professor, Department of Public Administration, Dyson College of Arts and Sciences
  • James D. Schutzer, Senior Partner, JDM Benefits, An Alera Group Company

To our event sponsors and panelists from: Westchester Community Foundation, United Way of Westchester and Putnam, JDM Benefits, Tompkins Community Bank, Maier Markey & Justic, and Pace University: thank you for making this opportunity available to all nonprofits organizations who wanted to participate.

Read more about the importance of the Report in the Westchester Community Foundation article above, and purchase your copy of the Report HERE.
