Dear NPW Community:

County Executive George Latimer released his proposed budget on Thursday, November 9th.

The process is not over, and it is important that the nonprofit sector stay involved.

HERE is information on upcoming budget hearings with the Westchester County Board of Legislators.

HERE is the Proposed Budget.

HERE is important information about the process moving forward.

Please see the County’s press release HERE, highlighting important details and including this quote from NPW Executive Director, Jan Fisher:

“Nonprofit Westchester appreciates Westchester County Executive George Latimer’s commitment to social responsibility and fiscal restraint. His proposed 2024 budget shows an understanding of the importance of investing in the nonprofit sector and reflects many of the recommendations Nonprofit Westchester has made in the numerous meetings and forums in which the County Executive and his team have so generously attended. Maintaining the same County property tax levy as 2023, which marks the fifth consecutive year without a levy increase, is commendable and benefits all Westchester residents and nonprofit and for-profit businesses.”

Best regards,
Jan
