Collaborate, Network and Learn Together

Small Nonprofits Affinity Group

The Small Nonprofits Affinity Group offers an opportunity for small nonprofits to benefit from the knowledge, talent, and passion in our countywide network of other small nonprofit organizations. The affinity group will meet to:

  • Discuss shared unique challenges for small nonprofits
  • Strengthen connections between small nonprofit leaders across the sector
  • Develop collaboration, thought partners, and support among small nonprofits


Facilitated by Cora Greenberg, NPW Consultant.

Who should attend: For leaders of a small nonprofit with fewer than 8 employees and/or a budget of under $1.5M or if you feel you operate as a small nonprofit. NPW members only.

When: Third Monday, 4X a year, Virtual (April 21, June 16, Sept. 15, Nov. 17)

New Chief Executive Officers/Executive Directors Affinity Group

The New Chief Executive Officers/Executive Directors Affinity Group is an opportunity for new nonprofit leaders to benefit from the talent, knowledge, and passion in our countywide network of other new nonprofit leaders. The affinity group will meet to:

  • Learn from peers who are also new nonprofit leaders, and strengthen the connections
  • Find new thought partners, cultivate new ideas, and develop collaborations
  • Address high-level issues affecting nonprofits

Facilitated by Cora Greenberg, NPW Consultant.

Who should attend: For new CEOs/EDs in their role under three years. NPW nonprofit members only.

When: 3X a year, Virtual & In-Person (Dates to be announced)

Peer to Peer Affinity Group 

The Peer to Peer Affinity Group provides a safe space for participants to connect with one another and grow professionally and personally.

Facilitated by Tasha Young, Founder, The Good Policy Institute and chaired by Tiffany S.W. Hamilton, CEO YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester, NPW Board Member.

Who should attend: Targeted to nonprofit personnel of color. NPW members and non-members are welcome. 

When: Bimonthly on the fourth Friday, 8:30 – 10:30 AM (January 24, March 28, May 23, July 25, September 26, November 21* (Friday before due to Thanksgiving))

Disabilities Providers Affinity Group*

*Previously titled "Disabilities Roundtable"

The Disabilities Affinity Group provides an opportunity to develop strategies, share advocacy issues and support programming to advance access and opportunity for people with disabilities, across the spectrum of physical, intellectual, developmental and cognitive disabilities.

Chaired by Kathleen Macias-Torres, Assistant Executive Director of Community Innovations, The Arc Westchester.

Advisory Committee:

  • Susan W. Fox, President & CEO, Westchester Institute for Human Development
  • Nancy Miller, Former Executive Director/CEO, VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired
  • Maria Samuels, Executive Director, Westchester Disabled On the Move
  • Jacqueline Mamorsky, Senior Program Associate, Activating Change

Who should attend: Executive Directors or appropriate staff members of organizations that serve people with disabilities in Westchester. NPW members only. 

When: Second Friday, 3X a year, Virtual (March 14, June 13, October 10)

Chaired by Jirandy Martinez, ED, Community Resource Center and Scott Edelman, MBA, CPA, CFE, Executive Director at Burke Rehabilitation. 

Who should attend: Nonprofit Chief Executive Officers and Executive Directors. NPW nonprofit members only. 

When: Quarterly, Tuesdays, In-person (January 14, April 8 (date to be changed), July 8, October 14)

Human Resources Professionals Affinity Group

The Human Resources Directors and Managers Affinity Group offers an opportunity for lead nonprofit human resources professionals/decision makers to benefit from the knowledge, talent and passion in our countywide network of Westchester nonprofit HR professionals. The affinity group will meet to:

  • Strengthen connections between nonprofit HR leaders across the sector

  • Address HR issues affecting nonprofits

  • Learn from peers

  • Find new thought partners, cultivate new ideas, and develop collaborations

Chaired by Milagros (Milly) Rivera, Director, Human Resources, Westchester Jewish Community Services and Andrea Robinson, Human Resources Director, Rye YMCA.

Who should attend: Human Resources Directors and Managers. NPW members only. 

When: Third Tuesday, 3X a year, In-person (February 25* due to President's Day, June 17, October 21)

Chief Financial Officers Affinity Group

The Chief Financial Officers Affinity Group provides an opportunity for lead nonprofit finance professionals to benefit from the knowledge, talent and passion within the countywide network of Westchester nonprofit CFOs and lead finance professionals. The purpose is to: 

  • Strengthen connections between nonprofit finance leaders across the sector
  • Find new thought partners, cultivate new ideas, and develop collaborations
  • Learn from peers
  • Address high-level finance issues affecting nonprofits

Chaired by Michael Goldman, CFO, Child Care Council of Westchester and Phillip Morton, CFO, Hope’s Door.

Who should attend: Chief Financial Officers/Lead Finance Staff or Agency Consultants. NPW members only.

When: First Friday, 3X a year, In-person (February 7, June 6, October 17 *due to Yom Kippur)
