A new tradition of White Plains librarian Barbara Wenglin is to wrap each short-story discussion series with a film relevant to the themes explored in the works the group discussed.“Frida is a fascinating, gripping, and creative treatment of an artist who channeled the excruciating pain of a crippling injury from her youth and her tempestuous marriage to muralist Diego Rivera (played by Alfred Molina) into her powerful work,” says Wenglin. “Frida Kahlo lived a brave, bold, and uncompromising life as a political, artistic and sexual revolutionary.” For a complete list of events at the White Plains Library, visit: https://whiteplainslibrary.org/
