It's the 6th Beethoven Festival with the Yonkers Philharmonic. We tend to think of Beethoven as a giant, one of the great three "B"s of classical music, but image the challenge of presenting a first symphony in the footsteps of Mozart and Hayden. Join us to hear how Beethoven's Symphony #1 masters the Classical tradition but also clearly stakes out his personal vision (That first chord! one-upmanship has occasionally been mentioned.) Beethoven's only Violin Concerto opens the concert with renowned soloist Chin Kim (https://www.chinkim.com/.) This concert is made possible, for the sixth year in a row, in part by a grant by the Westchester Community Foundation, a division of the The New York Community Foundation.
