NPW's Westchester County Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits Report 

The Westchester County Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits Report is the first report of its kind specific to Westchester County designed to provide nonprofits with data to benchmark and advocate. It is the result of a research partnership between Nonprofit Westchester, Pace, JDM Benefits, and Allera Group Company, and the many nonprofit leaders who generously shared their time and perspectives. Nonprofit organizations who took the survey that informed the report receive the report for free, member organizations can purchase the report for $100 and nonmembers for $350.

ALICE in the Nonprofit Workforce

ALICE in the Nonprofit Workforce: A Study of Financial Hardship is the first report of its kind to examine financial insecurity among nonprofit workers, created by Independent Sector and United for ALICE. It rigorously analyzes publicly available data to understand the financial status of the country’s 13.9 million nonprofit employees in greater detail than ever before. According to the report, about 22% of nonprofit workers in the United States struggle financially. 

2025 ALICE Report by UWWP

ALICE is an acronym for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed – households that earn more than the Federal Poverty Level, but less than the basic cost of living for the county (the ALICE Threshold). Combined, the number of ALICE and poverty-level households equals the total population struggling to afford basic needs. Read more about the ALICE population in Westchester County.

Needs Assessment Study of Asian Americans in Westchester County 

Asian Americans in Westchester County, a report commissioned by Westchester County’s Asian American Advisory Board, documents the current state, issues and concerns of Asian Americans in Westchester County; using demographic analysis, interviews of key members of the community, and a community issues survey completed by more than 500 Westchester Asian Americans.

This report, created by Center for Justice Innovation in collaboration with the Housing Solutions Lab at New York University’s Furman Center, explores ways that actors in the justice system and housing agencies can partner to break this harmful cycle.

Affordable Housing in Westchester County: "Welcome Home Westchester"

Nonprofit Westchester is a proud partner of the Hudson Valley Social Care Network. This new program addresses health disparities in low-income communities by leveraging federal funding to facilitate Medicaid members’ access to nutritional meals, housing supports, transportation and other social services that can have a significant impact on an individual’s health.

2025 Nonprofit Health Assessment

The assessment is intended to provide New York 501c3 nonprofit organizations with a tool to conduct an initial self-assessment of the organization’s overall health in particular areas, foster deeper inquiry in areas that need attention, and offer helpful resources. Updated as of May 2025 to include cyber security and artificial intelligence, and insurance and risk management.
